Shannen Doherty e il cancro: Una sfida, ora le mie foto preferite

Shannen Doherty, la Brenda di 'Beverly Hills 90210', continua la sua battaglia contro il cancro e affida ai social network pensieri e stati d'animo. Su Instagram ha pubblicato le foto senza capelli, ma ha anche esternato l'amore per il marito Kurt Iswarienko, che le sta vicino in questo momento difficile.

It's the 7th and final day of #loveyourspousechallenge I love my spouse every day so no challenge there. The real challenge was choosing what pictures to post that would convey that love to all of you. Sure, I love our wedding pictures and pictures of me with hair and eyelashes and eyebrows 😢 but my favorite pictures are of us now. Now because now is the challenge. It's challenging to love thru grief, sickness, an uncertain future. It's hard to feel sexy and beautiful when going thru chemo and therefore it's challenging to allow one to love you. I imagine my husband has faced challenges during this time with me and yet here we are... stronger than ever. More in love than ever. More trusting, more supportive. More confident with one another. Just more. Now. I challenge us @kurtiswarienko to always hold onto the now of us. And @sarahmgellar thank you my beautiful friend for challenging us. Also thank you to all of you for your well wishes. Your prayers and for following this journey I'm a lucky girl.

"Amo il mio compagno ogni giorno, la vera sfida - scrive - è scegliere quale immagine pubblicare per trasmettere questo amore a tutti voi. Amo le foto del nostro matrimonio, le immagini con ancora i capelli, le ciglia e le sopracciglia. Ma le mie foto preferite sono ora, ora è la sfida. E' una sfida amare... Mi ritengo fortunata il nostro amore è più solido che mai. È difficile sentirsi bella e sexy quando si fa la chemioterapia, è difficile amare con un futuro incerto. Eppure ci siamo".

It's the 6th day of the #loveyourspousechallenge This is us now. Life has handed us an interesting card with cancer and although we would both prefer to not be faced with such a terrible disease, we must also search for the good. Am I blessed? Yes. Blessed for my friends that I have. Blessed that I have a fantastic mom and blessed that this man is in my life. Cancer gives a clarity that is unique. I've seen friends run , I've seen strangers step up, I've seen the unwavering still unwaver and I've seen @kurtiswarienko there for it all. That's friendship. That's love.

La malattia era stata annunciata dalla stessa Doherty lo scorso luglio sui social, le foto la ritraevano mentre si rasava i capelli per prepararsi alla chemioterapia. L'attrice aveva scoperto di avere un tumore al seno nel 2015, in un'intervista tv ha poi dichiarato di aver diagnosticato in ritardo la malattia perché senza copertura sanitaria.

5th day of #loveyourspousechallenge Our honeymoon. @kurtiswarienko surprised me by taking me to South Africa. By far the best trip I've ever been on. It was enlightening, inspiring and life changing. Only kurt would understand me well enough to know that this was the perfect honeymoon trip. As I said before.... I'm lucky. I married my other half, my soul mate.
