Il tennista è rimasto privo di sensi per qualche minuto, mentre ufficiali di gara e addetti sanitari gli prestavano le prime cure. Ora sembra stare meglio ma il colpo di calore lo ha messo ko e costretto al ritiro forzato dal torneo. Sugita avanza così in finale.
