I disagi maggiori, come riporta l'Independent, si registrano soprattutto nel Galles e in alcune zone della Scozia. Nella città gallese di Crickhowell, in particolare, si registrano diversi danni e allagamenti, con intere zone isolate. Sulle coste, poi, l'allerta è massima per il rischio di onde anomale e nuove inondazioni. I sacchi di sabbia, già predisposti in diverse zone per arginare le piene dei fiumi, potrebbero infatti non bastare.
Se nel sud del Galles le strade della città sono diventate veri e propri fiumi, molto più a Nord, in Scozia, la situazione non è migliore. In diverse zone, infatti, il maltempo ha causato diverse frane, con caduta di detriti anche lungo alcune autostrade. Il peggio, però, deve ancora arrivare.
