Il dramma di Bella Hadid, malata come la mamma: Volevo piangere, ma non c'era nulla da fare -Guarda

Bella Hadid è una modella bellissima, ma soffre di una malattia che lei stessa definisce la patologia "invisibile". Bella è affetta dalla sindrome di Lyme, un male che è stato diagnosticato anche alla mamma, Yolanda Foster, nel 2012 e provoca spossatezza.

Sul suo profilo Instagram la modella, che è stata morsa da una zecca, ha scritto una lettera alla mamma lodandone il coraggio perché ha messo in atto una vera e propria battaglia di sensibilizzazione per aiutare tutte le persone che soffrono di questa malattia e ha scritto un libro sulla sua vita dal titolo 'Believe me'.
"Sono così orgogliosa di mia mamma oggi e sempre. Questo libro segna un momento davvero importante per te. Ti ho vista, a letto, lottare negli ultimi 5 anni della nostra vita, e dicevo: 'Come può una cosa del genere capitare a un angelo come te?'. Volevo piangere ma non c'era nulla che avrei potuto fare per aiutarti".

La malattia prende il nome da un paese del Connecticut, chiamato “Old Lyme” dove, nel 1975, si verificarono numerosi casi di infezione da un batterio spiraliforme, la Borrelia burgdorferi, che infesta le zecche e si trasmette agli uomini e agli animali diffondendosi ai linfonodi fino a colpire gli organi interni. Porta disturbi neurologici e cardiaci e infine anche una sorta di artrite reumatoide. Nel 2013 anche Avril Lavigne aveva confessato di esserne affetta.
