Era in attesa di un trapianto di cuore, ma è morta tra le braccia di mamma e papà a causa di una complicazione. La vicenda riguarda la piccola Adalyn, due anni, di Nashville. I genitori, Kristi e Justin, hanno permesso ad una fotografa di ritrarre con uno scatto la figlia morente tra le loro braccia per sensibilizzare l'opinione pubblica sul tema delle anomalie cardiache e l'immagine ha commosso la rete e il mondo. La piccola, scrive il Mirror online, era nata con un difetto cardiaco congenito (Chd) e i medici le hanno installato un dispositivo di assistenza ventricolare (Lvad) al cuore.
